The 2025 NSF HDR Global Machine Learning Challenge – Scientific Modeling Out-of-Distribution (Scientific-MOOD) – is now open!
Hosted by three NSF institutes (A3D3, Imageomics, iHARP), it focuses on Out-of-Distribution (OOD) prediction in three scientific challenges:
Neural Forecasting
Climate Prediction using Ecological Data
Coastal Flooding Prediction over Time
Global prizes: USD $4,000 cash + AWS/NVIDIA cloud credits + Top teams travel to USA for 2026 awards!
